Dual Enrollment

Eligible high school students who reside in Livingston County and/or who attend a Livingston County high school may enroll in designated Cleary University courses at no charge to the school district or student.

Admissions Criteria

  • High school junior or senior
  • Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Composite ACT score of at least 19 (students who have not yet taken the ACT must submit PLAN scores for individual consideration)
  • High school counselor/school administration recommendation and approval (documented on a Cleary University Dual Enrollment Approval Form) 

Program Overview

  • Dual-enrolled students are required to meet with a Cleary University academic advisor prior to registration.
  • Students are responsible for cost of textbooks and any other required course materials.
  • This program applies only to Cleary University day classes (100- and 200-level courses held on-campus during the hours of 9am to 5pm). Unless otherwise authorized, high school students are not permitted  to enroll in the university’s evening or fully online courses.
  • Only one Cleary University course may be taken at a time. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Course grades will be calculated in accordance with Cleary University’s grading system. All Cleary University academic policies apply.
  • A student must earn at least a 2.0 in each Cleary University course to remain eligible for dual enrollment and the tuition waiver program.
