About the CMA Test Prep Program
Course Fees:
Part 1: Financial Planning, Performance, and Control: $1,195
Part 2: Financial Decision Making: $1,345
Courses include in-class instruction (30 hours for the Part 1 course and 36 hours for the Part 2 course) and study materials (textbook, participant guide, and online practice test access). Course materials will be distributed on the first day of class. Please register early to ensure that materials are ordered for you.
Note: course fees are separate from IMA examination fees.
Course Policies:
Certificate of Completion Policy
A certificate of completion will be issued to all participants who fulfill the following course requirements:
- Attend a minimum of 22 hours of class time for Part 1 or 27 hours of class time for Part 2, and
- Earn an average score of at least 70% on all of the online testing modules.
Refund Policy
We recognize that you may need to cancel your registration. If you wish to receive a refund or credit toward a future course, we must receive your request for cancellation via e-mail at least five business days prior to the course start date. Please send your request to lbeaudoin@cleary.edu.
Transfer Policy
You can substitute another individual in your place prior to the start of class. If you would like to do so, please submit your request by e-mail to lbeaudoin@cleary.edu.
Retake Policy
Participants who earn the course "Completion Certificate" (see above for details) and who do not pass the corresponding part of the CMA exam are entitled to take that part of the review course again at no additional charge. Course books and materials are not included when retaking the course and an additional fee may apply to reactivate the online user id. The option to retake the course must be elected within one year from the first registration and is subject to class availability.
Cancellation Policy
Cleary University reserves the right to cancel the review class if necessary. Cancellation notice will be made five business days before the start of class. All course fees paid for a class that is canceled will be refunded or credited toward enrollment in a future class.
Instructor Profile:
Dr. Louis Petro has over 30 years of experience with the CMA exam. He studied under the originator of the CMA exam, Dr. James Bullock at the University of Michigan and was one of the first people to sit for the CMA. From the time he obtained the CMA designation in 1973 until 1997, he worked with the IMA to write and review CMA exam questions, as well as to grade completed exams. Dr. Petro is presently a visiting lecturer at Oakland University, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in managerial and financial accounting. He is also a senior manager at Cendrowski Corporate Advisors.
