Undergraduate and Graduate Student Orientation
Welcome to Cleary University! We are eager to empower you with all the information and resources you need to start off to a great semester. Cleary New Student Orientation consists of two parts:
- Complete the BAC 1000 Foundations in Undergraduate Studies course (for undergraduate students)
- Complete the MBA 5000 Foundations in Graduate Studies course (for graduate students)
- Attend Academic Success Webinar
Academic Success Webinar Registration
The Academic Success Webinar introduces students to Cleary’s online learning environment, how to prepare for class, review academic expectations, and guide how to use Cleary’s research resources and tools. Students are required to attend one of these workshops. Please register below.

BAC 1000 Foundations in Undergraduate Students Course
Students learn how to use Cleary’s course learning management system, acquire a working knowledge of Cleary’s electronic research tools, are introduced to the university’s library services, and become familiar with Cleary’s academic policies and protocols. Students are assigned a grade for this class and successful completion is a requirement for graduation.
MBA 5000 Foundations in Graduate Studies
The Cleary University MBA program places unique demands and expectations on the student. Computer and Internet technologies are heavily emphasized. Strategies for academic success will be the focus such as graduate-level approaches to research, the online classroom, the Cleary library, and APA formatting. Students will also become familiar with the University’s graduate academic policies such as academic integrity. Successful completion of this course is required for continuation in the MBA program.
