Cleary University Cougars compete in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). The Athletic Department seeks to recruit, retain, and graduate young women and men and help them to successfully apply the leadership, teamwork, and discipline of their sport to successful business careers.

We currently field varsity teams in men’s and women’s golf and cross country. Men’s and women’s soccer programs will begin in 2013--coaches are recruiting now!

    Mujanovic joins men's soccer team

    HOWELL – Armin Mujanovic, a senior from Trenton High School, has signed to play men’s soccer for Cleary University.

    "I am extremely happy that Armin will be playing for the Cleary Cougars soccer program this fall. Armin is a tough competitor on the field and in the classroom. I am looking forward to having Armin compete for our university this fall,” said Thomas Greeley, men’s soccer coach at Cleary.

    Mujanovic was part of Trenton’s 2011 undefeated disctrict championship team and has played club soccer with the WAZA and Rush organizations.

    Ramirez-Ortega joins men's soccer

    HOWELL – Juan Ramirez-Ortega, a senior from Wyoming Park High School in Grand Rapids, has signed to play men’s soccer for Cleary University.

    "Juan is a hard working and committed athlete who has driven himself to get to this level of play,” said Thomas Greeley, men’s soccer coach at Cleary. “We are really happy that Juan will join our squad for the 2013 season and we look forward to the work ethic that he will bring to our University and our team.”

    Ramirez-Ortega, is a three-year varsity player and is the captain of the high school team this year. He also played for the 18-and-under Grand Rapids Crew club team, where he had the most assists with 12.

    Howell's Judd joins women's cross country

    HOWELL – Erica Judd, a senior at Howell High School, celebrated her 18th birthday by signing a letter of intent with the women’s cross country team at Cleary University.

    "She has great enthusiasm for the sport,” said Cleary University cross country coach Sarah Boyle. “She has a passion for running and really wants to be out there.”

    Judd ran cross country during her freshman and sophomore years and also participated on the track and field team at Howell.
