Jeff Hough, a paramedic with the Livingston County EMS in Howell, earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.
While at William and Mary, Hough was a two-time All-American in the 10,000 meters (’91 and ’92). He also was the conference regional champion in 1992 and went to the Cross Country Nationals three consecutive years. Hough will be inducted into the William and Mary Athletic Hall of Fame in April 2013.
Hough graduated from Corunna High School, where he was the top runner in the state in 1986. He was All-State in track in 1985-87 and was All-State in cross country in 1985-86.
He isn’t daunted by the challenge of building a cross country program at Cleary as a first-time coach.
“I’ve coached post collegiate athletes and volunteered with the Howell and Hartland cross country teams, but this was an opportunity to be THE coach,” Hough said. “I enjoy watching and helping athletes progress and get better.”
