The Lloyd and Mabel Johnson Center for Business & Community Excellence
Cleary University broke ground on May 18, 2006 for the $5.4 million Lloyd and Mabel Johnson Center for Business and Community Excellence. The 26,868 sq. ft. facility, which will house eight classrooms, a student lounge and a reception area, is being built on the University’s Livingston Campus in Howell. The new center is named in honor of the late Lloyd and Mabel Johnson, who were generous supporters of Cleary University for more than 20 years.
“This is a wonderful milestone,” Cleary President Thomas P. Sullivan told a gathering of Cleary family members, University faculty, staff and students, and local and state dignitaries during the one-hour ceremony on the site of the new center. “It is the first groundbreaking for a major University expansion in 20 years.”
