Program takes young entrepreneurs through the process of turning an idea into a business

Cleary University, in partnership with AccelerateKID, is hosting a five-day entrepreneurship and web design camp for kids ages 10-14 August 15-19, 2016 at Cleary’s Ann Arbor campus located at 2793 Plymouth Road in Ann Arbor. The camp will feature business experts from AccelerateKID who will work with kids to brainstorm a business opportunity and then guide them through business development, planning, marketing, forecasting and social impact, as well as developing and publishing a website. On the last day of camp, the young entrepreneurs will pitch and present their businesses and accomplishments.

Registration is available online at or by calling 844-483-2433. The cost of the camp is $399. By using the promo code clearykidcamp, attendees can save 20 percent.

“This is a great interactive way to introduce kids to entrepreneurship and technology,” said Marlo Rencher, Ph.D., executive director for the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Cleary University. “At Cleary, we are 100 percent business focused and value the opportunity to mentor young students who have an interest in expanding their knowledge of entrepreneurship. We are excited to bring the AccelerateKID program to our Ann Arbor campus, and to give kids the opportunity to learn what it takes to build a successful business, from creativity and teamwork, to sales, technology and presentation skills.”

Clear University offers two education programs focused on entrepreneurship, including a professional certificate and bachelor’s of business administration degree. For more information, visit
