Position Title: 

Director of Academic Advising 
Duties and Responsibilities:

1.)  Manage academic advising staff, functions, and goals.  Develop and maintain student advising related advising tools.  Responsible for design of key processes:  registration, retention, conversion rates, and degree completion.

2.) Serve as an academic advisor for a portion of student advising load.

3.) Select, train, and evaluate advising staff.  Conduct advising staff performance reviews.

4.) Assist with interdepartmental enrollment processes and initiatives.  Provide leadership for the regularly scheduled Enrollment Meetings.

5.) Develop and monitor advising staff budget.

6.) Represent and promote the University in community, professional, and educational settings.  Serve on committees and perform other duties as assigned.

7.) Personally and professionally practice the Quality philosophy principles. 

8.) Coordinate and implement advising functions related to University recruiting and enrollment initiatives.  Assist supervisor(s) with enrollment related initiatives.

Supervises:  Advising Staff, CWS
Functional Supervision to Extension Site Admission Representative(s).

Functional supervision from Dean of Enrollment

Qualifications:

Masters Degree, three to five years of academic advising experience in a college or university setting, two or more years of supervisory experience, communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft application software, and an understanding of customer service principles are required.  Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate evening and weekend hours is preferred.  Become Cleary University Six Sigma Green Belt certified within two years of hire.
