Filing for financial aid online

1. To apply for financial aid on-line, go to Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the Web at http://fafsa.ed.gov/.

2. If you have filed previously, and have a Department of Ed issued PIN number, you may file an electronic FAFSA. (Your PIN number will act as an electronic signature.) If you don't have a pin and need one, you may apply for one at the same time that you are filing your FAFSA form. Filing the electronic FAFSA with a PIN will speed up processing your financial aid.

3. Make sure that you CHOOSE THE CORRECT YEAR when applying for financial aid, based on when you will be starting classes. Financial aid applications cover terms from July through June 30. For instance if you were beginning classes in September of 2008, you would choose the 2008-2009 FAFSA form that covers July 1, 2008 until June 30, 2009. You must apply each year that you are seeking financial aid.

4. The CLEARY UNIVERSITY SCHOOL CODE NUMBER is 002246. This is the code number regardless of which campus you might choose.

5. Once your application has been submitted electronically, within 7 days an Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) will be generated and available for the financial aid office technician to draw down electronically into the University computer system.

Once an ISIR is generated and you have applied for admission to Cleary University, our financial aid staff will compile your award package and send notification to you.
