#1 August – Opening Retreat – summer weekday

  • off-site introductory session - Individuality
  • learn about the program
  • learn about each other
  • trustbuilding time

#2 October – Business – weekday

  • introduction to team project (LESA bones at Balloon Fest)
  • on-site learning  - Insight
  • off-site visits to local businesses

#3 November – Strategic Planning – Saturday

  • start project work
  • on-site learning - Initiate
  • interactive activities with speakers

#4 January – Justice – weekday

  • on-site learning - Involve
  • off-site at county jail and courthouse

#5 February – Health/Human Services – Saturday

  • on-site learning - Inspire
  • off-site tour of health services

#6 March – Education – weekday

  • on-site learning - Improvise
  • off-site tour of education opportunities

#7 April – Government – weekday

  • on-site learning - Implement
  • off-site tour of government (state and local)
Total: 4 weekdays, 2 Saturdays, 1 summer weekday



 

LOGISTICS 

Sessions usually start and end on Cleary University’s Livingston County campus

For off-site tours, students use LETS bus for transportation

Each year's participants will be invited to serve on next year's steering committee
