    Building a better Website

    Wellness Center policy and schedule changes

    The Cleary University Wellness and Recreation Center is available for rental for events, but is no longer open to the public. Please contact Darla Hargraves for rental availability. All bookings must be made at least one week in advance of date.

    The center has new hours for use by faculty, staff and students. The new hours are:

    Monday through Friday - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

    Saturday - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Sunday - CLOSED

    (Court area may be occupied by renters from 6 - 8 pm and on weekends)

    Cleary implements new emergency alert system

    To help ensure the safety of its students, faculty and staff, Cleary has entered into a partnership with Everbridge to provide an emergency broadcast system that will send alerts via cell phones if warranted.

    Those who register for this FREE service will be alerted to situations related to natural disasters, campus safety and man-made threats.

    Subscribers, based on their choice, will receive emails and/or text messages via phone related to eminent danger. (NOTE: Your service provider will charge for the delivery of each message).

    Students and faculty should have received an email outlining how to register. Interested staff should send and email to

    The University will conduct periodic tests of this system to ensure it is operating correctly. The first test is planned for March 26.

    Livingston Economic Club luncheon focuses on protecting your business

    HOWELL – Protecting a business from external forces such as a lawsuit or disaster is not something that most owners spend much time thinking about – until it is too late.

    The next Livingston County Economic Club Luncheon, Thursday, May 15, will provide insights to business owners to help them protect their investments.

    The LEC event will include a workshop about business liability protection at 10:15 a.m. which will be followed by Fire marshal Lyal Bigger’s keynote about business contingency and preparedness at 12:20 p.m. A plated lunch will be served at noon.
