With more than 20 years of coaching experience and a background playing semi-pro soccer across the United States, Tom Greeley is the ideal choice to coach the forthcoming men’s soccer teams at Cleary University.

“It is not only a fantastic opportunity to be the first men’s soccer coach at Cleary University, but it is also a great honor to be a part of the Cleary University team,” said Greeley. “Cleary is a fantastic institution with fantastic people that are passionate about teaching business and essential life skills. I am really excited about being able to share my personal love of soccer with student-athletes as they prepare themselves for the professional playing fields that await them in their business life.”

Greeley has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Southern Connecticut State University and an MBA from Eastern Michigan University. He is USSF-licensed and earned coaching certificates from the Football Association (FA) of England. He is also a member of NSCAA.

In addition to heading both the Dexter Michigan Rush Soccer Club and the Chelsea Soccer Club, Greeley is the founder of the Joint Developmental League in Southeast Michigan and the former technical director for the Dexter Youth Soccer Academy, the Dexter Indoor Futsal Program and the Dexter Community Education Youth Soccer Program. He is also the owner and technical director of Skills for Thrills Training and Emerald Isle Soccer Academy.

“As we move our soccer program forward into the 2013 fall season, I want to invite aspiring collegiate athletes to be a part of our program,” stated Greeley. “We want individuals who will represent Cleary with pride, with passion and with honor.”

The Cleary University Cougars compete in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). Both academic and athletic scholarships are available including honors program scholarships of up to $7,500.
