HOWELL – Taylor Richardson, a transfer from Jackson Community College, has signed a letter of intent to play for the Cleary University women’s soccer team.

"I am extremely excited to have a player of Taylor's ability join the Cougars,” said Droo Callahan, women’s soccer coach at Cleary Univesity. “She will be a huge part of the team offensively and help set the tone for our play."

"I am interested in playing at Cleary University because I am always excited for new opportunities,” said Richardson, a 2011 graduate of Greeneview High School.

Richardson, a forward, played varsity soccer for three years at Greeneview. She earned second-team conference honors in high school and All-MCCAA honors while at Jackson.

“Cleary is a good fit for me because I am interested in business management,” said Richardson.

Cleary University reintroduced its collegiate athletic program in 2011 when it formed teams for men’s and women’s golf and cross country. Golf and cross country competed in 2012. Men’s and women’s soccer teams are scheduled to compete in 2013. Cleary is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
