Alumni Association gets new officers

The Cleary University Alumni Association has elected new board officers for 2014.

Denise Stoddard (’04) will be the president. Tom Econom (’04) is the vice president while Deanna Holbrook (’06) will serve as secretary and Jeannette Kroth (’06) will be the treasurer.

“It is a distinct honor to serve my beloved alma mater as the president of the Cleary University Alumni Association,” said Stoddard. “We are committed to making the great education we received from Cleary University available for many future generations. We actively encourage advocacy and philanthropic support by all CU alumni to ensure this tradition of excellence continues.”

Stoddard is currently an insurance agent with Dempsey, Inc. of Ann Arbor. In 2010, after a 15-year career as an account manager with M-CARE & BCBSM.

Alumni and the Cleary community can meet the new alumni association officers at a holiday reception Thursday, Dec. 12. The event is to congratulate the 2013 December graduates.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to congratulate new graduates, reconnect with your alma mater, network with fellow alumni and enjoy the Secunda Art Museum,” said Filip.

The event will be from 6-9 p.m. at 3750 Cleary Drive on the Howell Campus.
