Howell’s Judd signs with Cleary University women’s cross country team
HOWELL – Erica Judd, a senior at Howell High School, celebrated her 18th birthday by signing a letter of intent with the women’s cross country team at Cleary University.
"She has great enthusiasm for the sport,” said Cleary University cross country coach Sarah Boyle. “She has a passion for running and really wants to be out there.”
"Cleary is close to home and this will be a great way to have fun and stay in shape,” Judd.
Judd ran cross country during her freshman and sophomore years and also participated on the track and field team at Howell.
“I want to get my business degree and Cleary is the best place for me to do that,” said Judd.
Cleary University reintroduced its collegiate athletic program in 2011 when it formed teams for men’s and women’s golf and cross country. Golf and cross country competed in 2012. Men’s and women’s soccer teams are scheduled to compete in 2013. Cleary is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
