HOWELL – Armin Mujanovic, a senior from Trenton High School, has signed to play men’s soccer for Cleary University.
"I am extremely happy that Armin will be playing for the Cleary Cougars soccer program this fall. Armin is a tough competitor on the field and in the classroom. I am looking forward to having Armin compete for our university this fall,” said Thomas Greeley, men’s soccer coach at Cleary.
"I eat, sleep and breath soccer,” said Mujanovic. “I am excited about coming to Cleary University and helping to build the soccer program. I give all I can whenever I can and I’m looking forward to this upcoming season.”
Mujanovic was part of Trenton’s 2011 undefeated disctrict championship team and has played club soccer with the WAZA and Rush organizations.
“I chose Cleary University because of the small class size and because I am interested in international business,” said Mujanovic, who was born in Bosnia and migrated to the U.S. at age two.
Cleary University reintroduced its collegiate athletic program in 2011 when it formed teams for men’s and women’s golf and cross country. Golf and cross country competed in 2012. Men’s and women’s soccer teams are scheduled to compete in 2013. Cleary is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
