HOWELL – Collegiate athletic history is about to be made in Howell by Cleary University.

The first-ever Cleary University home soccer game will be played Saturday, August 24 at Page Field In Howell. The match is the first women’s home game and will be against Marygrove at 5 p.m.

Four days later (Aug. 28) the men’s soccer team will play its first home game and the first night soccer game in Cleary University’s 135-year history. The game is against Rochester and begins at 7 p.m.

“It’s exciting to see the games in black and white, on paper,” said Thomas Greeley, men’s soccer coach for Cleary University. “Our schedule is heavy with away games because when we were putting our schedule together we didn’t have a home field.”

Cleary has signed a contract with the Howell Area Parks and Recreation Authority to use Page Field in Howell as the Cougars’ home field.
