New Student Checklist

Welcome to Cleary University.  To ensure a successful start at Cleary, we highly encourage you to follow the checklist and complete each task below prior to starting your first semester.  If you have any questions or difficulties, reach out to your Admissions Representative or Academic Advisor as soon as possible.  We are here to help you.

 STEP ONE: Logging Into Your Student Portal

The Student Portal contains information concerning your registration, financial aid, and tuition statement. It is important you check the Student Portal to make sure your registration is accurate and to review your tuition statement.   Student Portal Login Instructions

STEP TWO: Logging Into Your Email

All students are assigned a University email address. It’s the student’s responsibility to be aware of and to read all University correspondence sent to the student’s University e-mail address by Cleary University faculty and administration. Login into Email Instructions

STEP THREE: Logging into Moodle

Students may begin to complete their BAC 1000 or MBA 5000 course and access their courses one week before the semester begins by accessing Moodle.  Moodle is Cleary’s online learning management system and all of your coursework will be completed using it. Login into Moodle Instructions

STEP FOUR: Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid encourages all students to apply for financial aid even if they think they are not eligible, as assistance is available on a need and non-need basis.  Students should make sure they have completed the online FAFSA application. Student’s can review their financial aid package and review what documents they may be missing in Cleary’s Student Portal.  Contact the Financial Aid office with any questions.

STEP FIVE: Paying Tuition

Once you are registered for classes, you are fully responsible for tuition and fees. Cleary offers students multiple payment options including a 50/50 or Three-Payment plan.  Students may pay their tuition bill using financial aid, cash, check, or charge, (Visa, MC, Discover, and AmEx) Employer Voucher, or Payment Plans.

STEP SIX: Register for Academic Success Webinar

The Academic Success Webinar is a required part of New Student Orientation.  The workshop introduces students to Cleary’s online learning environment, how to prepare for class, review academic expectations, and research resources and tools.

STEP SEVEN: Ordering Textbooks

Books may be ordered from the Cleary University Bookstore provider, MBS Direct, or any other provider of your choice. To access the University online bookstore for purchase:
