Anna Ankenbrand

Biography: 

Anna Ankenbrand, an academic advisor for Cleary University, has also served as an adjunct faculty instructor for several years. She considers it a great privilege to counsel students both as an advisor and as an instructor, assisting them from their initial start at Cleary through graduation.

Prior to joining Cleary, Anna worked in the marketing and sales departments for several information technology companies and continues to works as a marketing consultant. She knows how to find, attract, and win new customers, nurture and retain existing customers, and reduce the costs of marketing and client service. Her specialty is e-Marketing, which uses technology platforms and analytics to monitor and understand client actions and preferences.

While breaking it down into usable information for her employers, Anna discovered a passion for teaching others about her craft. E-Business, is a young industry, with the term possibly coined in the 90s by a past CEO of IBM. That put Anna’s e-Marketing talents in just the right place at the right time. Students who register for any of the e-Marketing classes taught by Anna have a unique opportunity to not only study an emerging field in the area of e-Business, but they also can learn by example of what one should aspire to be in this field.

Anna’s experience also includes strategic market planning, new business development, interactive and direct marketing plan development, advertising and promotional campaign development, and product and sales account management. She has been responsible for event and seminar management, media buying and placement, lead generation campaign development, and website campaign implementations.

Anna received her BA in Communications from the University of Southern Indiana and her MBA with an E-Business Concentration from the University of Phoenix. She resides in Brighton, Michigan.
