John J. Edwards, President and Chief Operating Officer of Edwards Brothers, is the fourth generation of the Edwards family to lead the 107 year old book manufacturing firm, employing 800 people in three printing facilities. After completing his studies at the University of Michigan, he joined Edwards Brothers, first on sales assignments in Washington, D.C. and Chicago, and then as a first-line supervisor in the bindery plate and pressroom. He later became the firm’s Lillington, N.C. plant manager and built a second plant in North Carolina. Mr. Edwards returned to Ann Arbor in 1995 as Vice President of Marketing and Sales. His term ends on January 1, 2013.
