Sacre du Printemps, 1992 (pochoir, 84 x 35 1/2, 40)

The Arthur Secunda Museum at Cleary University will be created in phases, the first two have been completed and are now open.

Chrysler Hall North has been “dual-purposed” to provide 550 linear feet of quality wall display space. This includes creation of a dedicated gallery, which provides a stimulating environment that serves well as a meeting space.

When the Arthur Secunda Museum is completed, more than 1500 linear feet of wall space and three additional galleries (that may be used for rotating exhibitions) will make up the core of the museum's space. For information on other phases of development, please see below.

CURRENT EXHIBITIONS:

Déjà vu: The Graphic Works of Arthur Secunda, 1948-2005. “Graphic works” is another way of saying “original limited edition prints.” Over Secunda’s 67-year career as a printmaker, he has produced 355 limited editions. The current exhibition contains approximately two-thirds of those editions. This exhibition corresponds with publication of a “Catalogue Raisonne of Secunda’s Graphic Works, 1948-2013”. Cleary University is co-publisher of this significant resource.

The Johnson Center houses collaborative works done by Arthur Secunda and his close friend Joseph Breton. Some of these are available for purchase. The 65 by 9 1/2 foot canvas Metamorphosis: From Darkness to Light is the largest collaborative piece and traveled all the way from Arizona to be added to our collection here at Cleary University. Other collections located in the Johnson Center include figurative works, a jazz suite, portraits, bible series (from the book of Genesis), and space inspired images.
