Tuition and Payment

Tuition Guarantee

Cleary University guarantees that a student's tuition will not increase for up to 12 consecutive undergraduate terms if the student is enrolled for at least eight credit hours each term (four credit hours for the summer term)*. For the graduate program, the guarantee is for up to six-and-a-half consecutive terms of eight or more credits (four credit hours for the summer term)*. Students who interrupt enrollment or surpass the Tuition Guarantee term-limit will renew their Tuition Guarantee at the most current rate and maintain that rate as stated above. The traditional daytime student program does not require summer registration.

Students who progress from undergraduate to graduate status will begin a new Tuition Guarantee at the most current graduate tuition rate.

Cleary alumni who register for additional undergraduate classes or programs using their alumni discount are not eligible for the Tuition Guarantee.

*For purposes of calculating consecutive terms of enrollment for undergraduate and graduate students, summer term is counted as a half-term and B-session starts are counted as a whole term.

All-In-One Tuition

Cleary University's approach to tuition is different from other academic institution by offering an all-inclusive tuition rate. No added fees or extra charges, ever. And that rate is guaranteed not to increase as long as a student remains continuously enrolled in his or her Cleary University degree program.

Payment Terms

Tuition balance equals full tuition less scholarships, financial aid, loans, and tuition assistance. Tuition balances must be paid at registration by selecting one of the installment options below. Any down payment made at registration should include any associated finance costs. Failure to receive a statement does not relieve student of their obligation to pay any balance due by the due date. Statements are also viewable and payable through the student portal.

Payment Options

  • Paid-in-Full: Total balance due on account at the time of registration for that term.
  • 50/50 Plan: A payment of one-half of the current tuition is due at the time of registration for that term. Payment of the remaining balance is due 30 days after the start of the term. The finance cost for this option is $25 per term.
  • NEW Three-Payment Plan: A payment of one-third of the current tuition is due at the time of registration for that term. Second payment is due 30 days into the term; final payment is due 60 days into the term. Students must provide a credit card for automatic payment processing of this plan. Account must be fully paid by the eighth week of the term. The finance cost for this option is $30.
  • Tuition Reimbursement by Employer: New students are required to pay their first term outstanding tuition balance (through one of the options noted above) at time of registration. Beginning with the second term, the outstanding balance is due six weeks after the term starts. Students who are eligible for tuition reimbursement by their employer must provide to the Business Office each term a deferment form signed by their employer guaranteeing payment of funds. Students are responsible for obtaining funds from their employers. The finance cost for this option is $40 per term.
  • Tuition Voucher: If the student provides a tuition voucher at the time of registration, Cleary University will invoice the student's employer directly for approved tuition. There is no finance cost for this option.
  • Installment Plan for Day Students Only: Tuition projected balance will be divided equally into monthly installments. The number of installments depends upon the month that payment commences. An annual reconciliation will occur each June to accurately credit the student account with all appropriate financial aid. The finance cost for this option is $50. Installments are due on the 1st of each month.
