All-Inclusive Tuition Policy

Cleary University believes in offering a fair value exchange to our students and, to this end, we have adopted a tuition policy that bundles the total costs associated with the educational process into an all-inclusive package. Cleary University students can plan their college expenses knowing there will be no added fees or surprises. The all-inclusive policy includes all textbooks, which are shipped directly to the student’s home or workplace.

2012-2013 Tuition

Cleary University's approach to tuition is different from other academic institutions. No added fees or extra charges ever...and that rate is guaranteed not to increase as long as a student remains continuously enrolled (see below).

TUITION GUARANTEE  

TRADITIONAL STUDENTS

Students who complete at least 12 credits per term (0 in summer) and who maintain satisfactory academic standing* are eligible for a tuition guarantee. Students who meet these criteria are guaranteed that their tuition will not increase for up to 15 consecutive undergraduate terms.** Students who do not maintain satisfactory academic standing, interrupt enrollment, or surpass the tuition guarantee term limit, will renew their tuition guarantee at the most current rate and maintain that rate as stated above (Smart Track pricing requirements may differ from the requirements of the tuition guarantee).

ADULT UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Students who complete at least 8 credits per term (4 in summer) and who maintain satisfactory academic standing* are eligible for a tuition guarantee. Students who meet these criteria are guaranteed that their tuition will not increase for up to 15 consecutive undergraduate terms.** Students who do not maintain satisfactory academic standing, interrupt enrollment, or surpass the tuition guarantee term limit, will renew their tuition guarantee at the most current rate and maintain that rate as stated above. Cleary alumni who register for additional undergraduate classes or programs using their alumni discount are not eligible for the tuition guarantee.

GRADUATE STUDENTS

Students who complete at least 8 credits per term (4 in summer) and who maintain satisfactory academic standing* are eligible for a tuition guarantee. Students who meet these criteria are guaranteed that their tuition will not increase for up to 6.5 consecutive graduate terms.** Students who do not maintain satisfactory academic standing, interrupt enrollment, or surpass the tuition guarantee term limit, will renew their tuition guarantee at the most current rate and maintain that rate as stated above. Students who progress from undergraduate to graduate status will begin a new tuition guarantee at the most current graduate tuition rate.

* SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC STANDING

1. Pace of Progression: A 4-year program must be completed by the 6th year. Academic pace is determined by dividing the total number of credits successfully completed by the total number of credits attempted.
2. Hours Attempted: Each student must successfully complete 67% of the hours attempted during each term.
3. Grade Point Average: A student’s cumulative grade point average (GPA), calculated from all classes taken and all grades received, may not drop below 2.0 for undergraduate students or 3.0 for graduate students for more than 3 consecutive terms. 

** CONSECUTIVE TERMS

For purposes of calculating consecutive terms of enrollment for adult undergraduate and graduate students, summer term is counted as a half term and B-session starts are counted as a whole term. For traditional students, summer term is not counted when calculating consecutive terms of enrollment.
