(DETROIT, MI) To help middle schoolers expand their critical thinking skills in an innovative, fun and creative way, Cleary University introduces “Critical Thinking with Legos,” a newly developed Saturday workshop for students in sixth through eighth grade.
The camp will be offered Saturday, Feb, 18 through Saturday, March 25: 9 am to noon. Cost is $25 a student. Financial assistance is available for families who qualify. The class is held at Cleary University’s Durfee Innovation Society, located at 2470 Collingwood Street in Detroit.
“Critical Thinking with Legos introduces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to middle school students through fun, exciting hands-on learning,” reports LaTasha Ellis, education center coordinator for Cleary University’s Detroit campus. Lego camp day also includes an arcade and some outside play activities, “all with critical thinking principles applied in creative ways,” Ellis explains. “Students will gain real world problem-solving experiences through a guided, hands-on global robotics program.”
Cleary University, Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Adam Mayhew, the brain child of this unique program, serves as the class instructor.
