When Cathy Sharef first came to Cleary University, she describes herself as shy and unsure of her future. After multiple ACL injuries ended her soccer career, she re-evaluated her goals and, with support from Cleary faculty and staff, earned three degrees — Business Management, Financial Planning, and Public Accounting — in just five years. Cleary also helped Cathy secure an internship with Northwestern Mutual Financial Services, which led to a full-time career as a financial planner after graduation. Today, she is also Cleary’s youngest professor, mentoring students and helping them build confidence in their own career paths. “Cleary helped me become more confident and outspoken,” she says. “They helped me develop strengths I didn’t know I had.”
