Applying for Aid

To apply for federal student aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using Cleary University’s Federal Code 002246. The FAFSA is no cost to students and will help you be considered for Federal and State aid.

Your FAFSA may be selected for review in a process called verification. Based on the Department of Education’s regulations, before awarding Federal Student Aid we may ask you to submit additional documentation to confirm the information you and your parent(s) reported on your FAFSA is correct.

If you have questions about verification, contact your financial aid advisor as soon as possible so that your financial aid will not be delayed!

Searching for Private Outside Scholarships

Students looking for additional sources of funding to supplement their financial aid packages often apply for outside scholarships. Financial aid consultants and online scholarship search companies are popular and may be helpful, but a consultant may charge you for a list of scholarships and grants copied directly from a school’s website or publications which is information you could easily obtain for free. Be careful of scams when researching scholarships!
