Veteran police officer completes degree after 30 years

“It always was a dream of mine to have a career in law enforcement, and my dream was coming true!” he announces proudly. Detroit Police officer completes degree at Cleary University in less than one year

“It always was a dream of mine to have a career in law enforcement, and my dream was coming true!” he announces proudly. After one year with the sheriff’s department, Michael accepted a position with the Detroit Police where he stayed for four years until he was hired to serve the City of Taylor as a police officer and worked his way up through the ranks to Deputy Chief.

Couple earns degree together

“Your dream can become your reality; it happened for us!” announces Detroit Police Sergeant Erica Frederick. After many years had passed since Erica and her husband Roland were in college, they decided to complete their bachelor degrees together from Cleary. “We always said we wanted to go back to school, but it had been so long, and it was so expensive,” Erica points out. When they heard about the degree program Cleary offered, “how could we pass up the opportunity?” reflects Roland, who is a lieutenant with the Detroit Police Department.
