  • Cleary University names Jayson Boyers as new president

    Jayson M. Boyers

    HOWELL – Jayson M. Boyers, vice president and managing director of continuing professional studies at Champlain College in Vermont, has been selected by the Board of Trustees as the next president of Cleary University.

    Boyers, 43, will succeed Thomas Sullivan, who is retiring as president of Cleary University in October after 26 years of service.

    Boyers, whose hire is effective Oct. 1, 2015, will become the tenth president in Cleary University’s 132-year history.

  • Cleary appoints Lewis as interim vice president of academic affairs

    HOWELL – Cleary University has appointed Dr. Lance Lewis as the interim vice president of academic affairs and dean of the college of graduate and professional studies. The appointment is effective immediately.

    "With my pending retirement, we were interested in allowing the successor president to select his chief academic officer, but also very aware of the need to fill this critical leadership role,” said Tom Sullivan, Cleary University president. “We were extremely fortunate to attract Dr. Lewis to the role for the next year."

    Cleary University will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of its new facility in Ann Arbor Wednesday, June 17, 4-6 p.m. at 2793 Plymouth Rd.   • Purple Rose Theatre comes to Cleary University June 30

    HOWELL – The Purple Rose Theatre Company will bring its 25th Anniversary Script Preview Tour to Cleary University Tuesday, June 30 at the Johnson Center.

    The tour is a five-stop live concert reading from five classic and world-premiere plays to be staged in the theatre’s 25th Anniversary season.

    The tour’s live concert reading format will not only tickle the funny-bone, but warm the heart and take audience members on a thrill ride with snippets from 2AZ by Michael Brian Ogden; The Casting Session by Jeff Daniels; The Odd Couple by Neil Simon; Gaps in the Fossil Record by Matt Letscher; and Mornings At Seven by Paul Osborn.
