Cleary University today announced it has received a grant for $35,000 from the Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions.
The grant will go toward tuition costs for first responders enrolled in Cleary’s Cybersecurity Management BBA program.
The Cybersecurity Management major concentration at Cleary University is tailored for students who want to pursue a career defending organizational information technology systems. Students enrolled in this BBA program are provided a complete and thorough education involving all aspects of cybersecurity management and what goes into protecting information and technological assets of the organizations for which they work.
“The Motorola grant will further supplement the tuition costs for many of our first responders,” says Tom Egan, Cleary director of Development. “We are pleased to report that this is the second consecutive year we have received a grant from the Motorola Solutions Foundation to support our public safety students.”
The Motorola Solutions Foundation, which has donated more than $100 million over the past 10 years, focuses its giving on three key areas: first responder programming, technology andengineering education and programs that blend the two. The Foundation has a long-standing commitment to supporting programs that benefit under-resourced populations and aims to partner with organizations that align to its values of accountability, innovation, impact and inclusion.
“We are inspired by the impactful work of Cleary University within their community,” said Wesley Barden Touhy, executive director of the Motorola Solutions Foundation. “The Motorola Solutions Foundation is proud to champion their efforts as they continue to grow and make a positive difference.”
