Join us as Michigan State University’s Jazz Nonet I brings its dynamic sound to Howell. Made up of MSU’s most advanced jazz students, this nine-piece ensemble pairs the punch of a big band with the freedom of a small group. They will be joined by Detroitborn drummer and bandleader Dr. Prof. Leonard King, whose career reflects the city’s deep jazz and soul traditions and includes performances with James Carter, Bettye LaVette, and The O’Jays.
Experience an evening of world-class live jazz and a first look at Livingston Jazz Fest, a new series launching in 2027 that pairs MSU’s finest jazz ensembles with jazz-inspired art from the Arthur Secunda Museum.
