1Students who do not meet the minimum scores by a small margin may request a Cleary University conducted English proficiency interview for full admission. The requirements may be waived for: 1) applicants whose native language is English are not required to complete a proficiency test; 2) applicants who have completed at least two years of post-secondary full-time study – as defined by the home institution, in a country where English is the primary language and at an institution where English is the medium of instruction, and within five years of the proposed term of initial enrollment – are not required to complete a proficiency test. Documentation as to these conditions is required; 3) students who have completed at least one semester of English Composition at a U.S. college or university (at a course level of 100 or higher) with a grade of “B” or higher (4-point GPA scale).
