Maintaining the health and safety of our campus community is a shared responsibility of all members of the university community. Cleary will continue to monitor the recommendations from public health officials and agencies and will update our policies and procedures as the situation evolves.
We are implementing numerous policies and protocols to help keep our community safe. They include:
● Monitoring CDC, state of Michigan, and Livingston County health mandates and ensuring our workplace practices align
● Requiring face coverings (reusable cloth facemasks will be provided to all employees and students)
● Requiring social distancing policies
● Providing hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes
● Reducing capacity for meeting spaces
● Where necessary, modifying furniture arrangements, installing plexiglass, etc.
● Restricting business travel for faculty and staff
● Issuing an expectation to stay home if sick and allowing a continued extension of sick leave for COVID-19 or influenza-like symptoms
● Requiring mandatory COVID-19 symptom and diagnosis reporting and self-isolation
● Limiting in-person events
● Limiting off-campus guests
● Suspending spring study abroad programs
● Enhancing cleaning protocols for common spaces and offices consistent with CDC guidelines
● Reducing residential housing occupancy
● Modifying dining services
