Cleary establishes new degree program for stay-at-home parents

HOWELL - While some parents just want to relax after they get the kids off to school, others want to make the most of their time.

For stay-at-home parents, Cleary University is offering a daytime degree program for both undergraduate and graduate students.

Starting fall 2013, interested students will be able to participate in an academically supportive environment with other stay-at-home parents; take classes two days a week; and still maintain their schedules with their children.

The program is being offered at both the Livingston and Washtenaw campuses of Cleary University.

Undergraduate degrees in health care management and management are being offered, as well as, graduate degrees in management and organizational leadership.

Cleary adds piece of rock to build tradition

HOWELL – Cleary University got a piece of rock Monday, May 7 that will hopefully be the foundation of a campus tradition.

“We wanted to create a unique way for our campus community to celebrate accomplishments,” said Carrie Bonofiglio, director of admissions at Cleary University. “We have a growing traditional student population and we have athletics now as well. We hope our students will use the rock to express themselves, appropriately.”

The 6.4 ton rock was purchased as part of a $3,000 grant from Helen’s Circle, the Cleary University women’s organization. The rock is located between the Johnson Center and Chrysler Hall on the Livingston Campus in Howell.
