Come Home to Cleary!

This week has been spirited indeed as students, staff and faculty get ready for our 2021 Homecoming tomorrow – long-awaited after the last year and a half of lockdowns and cancellations.

Students are back on campus in full force at Cleary University, and clamoring to class both online and in person. Athletics are in full swing. We are back and better than ever!

After a rousing spirit week that included a new ritual of Cougar Rock Painting, several Esports tournaments, fun competitions like Minute to Win It pie-in-the-face, wing eating, Bingo and ping pong, broom ball, rock wall, Kona ice and a bonfire and volleyball plus the Cougar Baseball Golf Outing that we’ve been waiting for, we are ready for tomorrow’s grand day of Homecoming events!

We begin with a Cougar 5K at 9 a.m., followed by an Admissions recruitment event at 11 a.m. Then, Cleary men’s hockey faces off vs. Indiana Tech at 1 p.m. at 140 Ice Den.

Clancy’s Tap Room is back from 3-6 p.m., and Cleary women’s soccer kicks off against Lawrence Tech at 4 p.m.

At Cleary University, Homecoming is all about igniting school spirit, for students and alumni alike. We welcome graduates back to campus to show them all the changes, the growth and the enthusiasm, while we listen captively to their stories of success in the business world.

Homecoming 2021
Cougar Rock Painting

Because of the global pandemic, we did not get to celebrate more than a century of Cleary University last year at this time, so this year’s 2021 Homecoming is a sweet reunion of everything we love about being a Cougar.

In two years of being apart, our campus has changed immensely!! We’ve renovated and expanded many sites on campus, including adding an Esports arena to Cleary Commons and a shiny new Clancy’s eatery in the Commons as well. We have expanded security measures, lighting and cameras and blue safety phones, all over campus.

In the Chrysler Building, we are unveiling a beautiful Fab Lab in partnership with Michigan International Prep School (MIPS), and of course we have so many programs and certificates that are new and exciting for employers and students alike.

There is more, but of course, we want to save some of the surprises for when you join us on campus to cheer on the Cougars in many ways, big and small.

Another reason we are working so hard to make Cleary University shine is because we want to be a hub in Livingston County for education, innovation and community. It’s not just Cleary alumni who are welcome here – it’s everyone.

Everything we’ve done with campus facilities and program development has been to impact student experience and add value to the community.

Come sample the Cleary spirit – and see what it means to be a part of the Cleary family! We hope to see you on campus tomorrow.
