Christian Schafer is Vice President and Service Area Managing Counsel for Trinity Health. He serves as General Counsel for Trinity Health Michigan, as well as supporting Trinity Health’s payor strategies, clinical integration, medical groups and physician enterprise teams. He has been an attorney with Trinity Health since 2006. Prior to joining Trinity Health, Christian was an attorney and compliance officer for the University of Michigan’s non-profit health plan, M-CARE. Christian earned his JD from Michigan State University College of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science from Central Michigan University.
