Cleary University Office of Accommodations

At Cleary University, every student is provided with the opportunity to fully engage in academic programs, campus services, and University life. The Office of Accommodations partners with students to identify and put in place reasonable accommodations tailored to their individual needs, consistent with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. We’re here to help you access the resources you need to succeed.

Requesting Accommodations

Ready to get started? Email the Office of Accommodations at studentaccommodations@cleary.edu, and we’ll walk you through the process.
Here's what to expect:

1. Contact the Office of Accommodations and complete the appropriate intake materials.

2. Provide supporting documentation related to your disability and accommodation needs.

3. Participate in an individualized review of your request and the accommodations available to you.

4. Receive a determination and, when approved, a Letter of Approved Accommodations.

5. Work with the Office of Accommodations, faculty, and appropriate University staff to put your approved accommodations into practice.

Submitting a request or supporting documentation doesn’t guarantee approval of a specific accommodation — each request is reviewed individually, based on your documented needs and the requirements of the applicable academic program, service, or activity. The law requires that accommodations be reasonable; it doesn’t require the University to fundamentally alter a program’s essential requirements or provide accommodations that pose an undue burden.
Good to Know

Approved accommodations generally aren’t retroactive — they take effect once the Office of Accommodations has reviewed and approved your request.

Your privacy matters. Any information and documentation you submit is kept confidential in accordance with the ADA, Section 504, and University policy, and is shared only with those who need it to help implement your approved accommodations.

It’s your responsibility to let us know if your accommodation needs change and to start any required renewal process. If you’re having trouble accessing an approved accommodation, reach out — we’re here to help.
