Christian Schafer is General Counsel for Trinity Health Corporation at St. Joseph Ann Arbor and Livingston, IHA. Schafer earned a law degree from Michigan State University and a B.S. in political science from Central Michigan University. He advanced from a Law Clerk at U of M Health System Legal Office to Regulatory Attorney & Compliance Officer at M-CARE, Manager of Legal Services for Battle Creek Health System, and Associate Counsel for the Trinity Health Corporate Legal Team. He has served on both the Governing Board and the Advisory Board for Gift of Life Michigan, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Avia Legal Catalyst Council for Technology Innovation. Schafer is currently a member of the AAA Health Care Dispute Resolution Advisory Council and a council member for the State Bar of Michigan, Health Law Section.
