Dr. Anthony Rhine graduated with a B.A. and M.A. from California State University-San Bernardino and a PhD in business administration and organizational leadership from Northcentral University in Prescott, Ariz.
His areas of expertise include leadership within service organizations and business administration-organizational leadership.
Rhine served as operations director for Performance Riverside in Riverside, Calif.; executive director for Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera Association in Calif.; and Director of MFA in Non-Profits Arts Management for the Hilberry Theatre in Detroit.
He applied his 20 years of experience in leadership roles at non-profit arts organizations to write Leading the Creative Mind, a guide to getting the most out of creative employees. Rhine also wrote Theatre Management: Arts Leadership for the 21st Century; Marketing the Arts: An Introduction; and the forthcoming books The Engagement Equation: A Practical Guide to the Arts from Oxford University Press, and Business and Legal Issues in the Arts.
Rhine also has in-depth experience with adult learning theory and practice, both in classroom and via distance learning methods. He worked as a professor at Florida State University in Tallahassee and Wayne State University in Detroit before calling Cleary University home.
