Erica Smith is Human Resource Generalist for Cleary University. She attended Central Michigan University, earning an undergraduate degree in organizational development and leadership, and a graduate degree in human resource administration.
Smith formerly worked as a benefit and wellness specialist for Sun Communities in Southfield, Mich., and as a human resources generalist for General Motors in Detroit. At Cleary, she loves the welcoming nature of the staff, who work together to ensure students and faculty are successful.
“I love the feeling of being able to make a difference, no matter how small that difference is,” she says. “I also love that Cleary has a culture where your work is appreciated and rewarded.”
Cleary exposes students not only to theory, but practical skills necessary for any life situation.
“I believe business education is the foundation for anyone who wants to make their way up the corporate ladder, pursue entrepreneurship, or just wants to ensure success in the real world,” she says.
